Laura was our server and brought the royal treatment! We will definitely be returning!

Service with Laura was great Thursday night! Cheerful and helpful!! Favorite late night place after dancing. Good food, especially soup.

Buffalo Gap has that feel of a good ol' neighborhood spot that's been around for ages. Older sort of building, walls covered in all sorts of bric-a-brac, pool tables in back, and plenty of TV's to watch the game. (And this place certainly was hopping with folks watching Oregon put the smackdown on the Big 10.) But it really did strike me as a place I'd love to just grab dinner and a pint on any given night. Beer selection is decent, with about a half dozen taps and some bottle and can choices, plus there is also a full bar. But the food is where it's at, with a fairly extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and more. This night we both sprung for the Flat Iron Steak Bites. These were absolutely fantastic, with some great rice and veggies on the side. Compliments to the chefs, as well as to the friendly front of house staff. And the prices for them were pretty good, with dinner and a pint running us about $25-$30 range. As for stuff to be aware of, the parking situation is the only big complaint. Their lot is small, and fills up fast. There are street spaces in the surrounding neighborhoods, but we had to go pretty far to find anything, and you should be careful to make sure you aren't blocking a driveway. So all in all, I thought this was a really delightful spot, and I think there's a great chance I'll be back when next I pass through Portland.

A haiku review: We came here for brunch Beautiful day, sat outside Cheesy hash will do Crispy potatoes Flavorful hollandaise sauce Will be returning! The food came quickly Though we waited quite a while To pay for our bill

First of all- thank you Jolly Roger at John's Landing for recommending this place. Absolutely amazing! My kids loved their food as did I!! The food was fresh. The tots were crispy. And service was fantastic. Not sure when we will be back but we can't wait to experience some more delicious food!

Great neighborhood restaurant. So warm and welcoming. Gives of a Cheers vibe and I'm here for it. You can play pool, play card/board games or watch the games. The drinks were on point and our server made sure she kept them coming. The food serving size is enough to share. If you just want a heavy, cozy meal or feeling greedy, this is your spot.

Love their taco salad. Hamburgers and fish and chips are great too. Try their breakfast, seems to be a popular spot for that. Space for larger group dining. Been visiting this place for many many years, super consistent. Staff and service is a pleasure. Parking is a bit of a pain though. They have a small lot. Residential street parking in my experience hasn't been available and/or nothing close to the restaurant. If you can, carpool or Uber.

I was skeptical the first few times we drove by. It didn't seem like the food would be good. I was very wrong and I'm glad I was wrong on this. We ordered to go from here over a dozen times but finally went in a few weeks ago. The place is huge and they have pool tables!!! Their menu is huge and we are coming back to try more. Several food items are our go to: Fish n chips - my partner is British and this is the only place for fish n chips for now Salmon Caesar - salmon was done nicely and Caesar was above average Country fried steak - seriously their gravy is the best. I've had country fried steaks from many places. This is by far the best. I'm talking about places from Bay Area, NYC, Seattle, LA (usual suspects). I won't claim I know the origins of country fried steak. let's just say the way they make it here is good. Maybe I didn't find the right places for country fried steak in other locations but this one feels like home.

Best Halibut Fish & Chips in town is you ask me. Dive bar feel with great food choices and quality. Lottery on site, and just a great rustic feel. Reminded me of being at he ski lodge. One of my favorite spots in the city.
